Digital Reception & Tuning AdviceIf you have lost reception of some or all of your channels or are experiencing break up of Digital signal, we recommend you first check your tuning. When
"Auto Tuned" or
"Auto Scanned" most equipment will tend to tune to the incorrect channels. It is therefore often necessary to perform a
"Manual" retune to ensure the equipment is set to the correct frequency/transmitter. If you refer to the handbook that came with the equipment (TV or Set Top Box), it will explain in there how to perform a "Manual" retune or scan. If you do not have a Manual or Handbook for the equipment, they are normally available on-line to download from the manufacturer's website.
If you need further assistance you can visit on-line the Digital UK's website at:
http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/manualretune
where there is an on-line guide available.
Alternatively you can call DigitalUK direct on:
08456 50 50 50
where trained advisors will take you through the process.
If you are still experiencing difficulties then you can call the office here at Astec and we will book an Engineer visit to ascertain what the problem is for you and should the problem prove to be a retuning issue we will only charge a nominal fee for re-tuning.
He will also provide you with a demonstration of how to perform a retune to avoid the need to call us out again.
(At busy times you may experience difficulty in getting through to us on the telephone and would ask for your patience whilst awaiting our attention).
